Design Your Own Daily Planner

Supporting tamariki to get into a routine

Routines can prove really handy when our days are out of whack and we're feeling a bit all over the place. Here is an idea to help you organise your day or week, which you can even use when lockdown is over.

Our DIY (Draw it Yourself!) Planner is super easy for tamariki to create at home. This planner helps us recognise that parents and kids will often be doing different things at different times during the day, and that’s totally all right!

Follow these instructions to make your own planner. Share your ideas on Hero or on the school FaceBook page.

Chalk Walk

Take advantage of the nice weather while in lockdown and create a chalk walk that others can also enjoy and keep fit at the same time.

All you need is some chalk and your imagination. You could include spirals, wiggly lines, hopscotch, star jumps, sprints..... and so much more.  If you put it outside your own house on the footpath, others going for a walk might just do your trail!

Check out some of these great ideas and remember to keep a distance of 2 metres if people are passing by.
