Kiwiana

Can you think of any kiwi icons you relate to New Zealand?  Buzzy bee, gumboots, pavlova, jandals.... lots of things we know as special to Aotearoa.

Ask your parents or grandparents which icons they identify with too.

Have a go at one of the following kiwiana themed activities.

1) Design a stamp that represents New Zealand.

2) Have a gumboot throwing competition with your family, make sure it doesn't go over the fence!

3) Make a pavlova for a dinner treat.

4) Design a montage of all things kiwi and what is important to you. 

 

It could be icons, native plants or things about yourself.

You can do this on paper and draw, cut out pictures, use stickers or do it digitally. Perhaps you could put a picture of yourself hidden in the art work as well.

With being in level 3 Father's Day will look a little different.  Here are some great ideas on a Father's Day Choice Board which you may like to try. There is also a blank board should you want to make up your own one.
